I know it's an Aussie site, but we just couldn't leave out our German Shepherd, Maggie!

Maggie is our beautiful German Shepherd girl. She is a "den mother" of sorts around
here treating the Aussies and the cats like her babies. She's never had puppies of her own but takes her "Mrs. Garrett"
role very seriously and is a wonderful, protective dog. Having this intelligent, loyal girl is what caused me to look
into other smaller (Maggie is 85lbs) herding breeds. Unfortunately, Maggie has been diagnosed
with Spondylosis and Hip Dysplasia at the very young age of four. We are using Salmon Oil, bone and joint supplements
daily and Deramaxx and pain medication on her bad days. We've found a wealth of great information and support
through the forums area of www.germanshepherds.com.
At 11 years old, Maggie continues to flourish and remains the much-beloved, undisputed
four-legged Queen at Makana
